Leather work is something that has brought great joy and happiness to my life and I want to share that with you! Custom Leather is something that's geared towards very specific designs to fit your knife perfectly. I will work with you throughout the design process to ensure that the final result is exactly what you're looking for (with-in reason). That being said, I work much better as an artist when I am given creative freedom. Creating a leather sheath is a time consuming process and can take up to three weeks, or more, to complete.
In order for your sheath to fit your knife perfectly I do require that your knife, or tool, be sent directly to me in order to design the sheath properly. Every custom sheath requires a new pattern to be drawn up from scratch in order to properly fit your knife, or tool. This can not be done without me having access to the physical knife, or tool.
Our leather is sourced from multiple vendors in order to obtain high quality veg-tan leather that will last for years. All of my custom sheaths are made with full grain, veg-tan leather. They are all cut, dyed, stamped, stitched, and more right here in the shop. Every sheath is treated with Neetsfoot oil, Mink oil, and/or "Mamas Outback Leather Wax" (Shankle Homestead Leatherworks) prior to being dyed, as well as multiple other finishes depending on the type of finish is desired. I use Tiger Thread for hand stitching which is made from 100% polyester that has been lightly waxed making it UV resistant and very dependable.
I specialize in rustic, "mountain-man" style sheaths, though I also enjoy the occasional classy look. Your sheath and knife will come back to you with a small tin of "Knife Elixir" from Dawsonville Exotic Woods to help maintain the condition of both your knife and your sheath.

Carry Style

It is crucial for you to let me know how your knife is intended to be used and how you would like to carry it. Some carry styles may not be possible with some knives depending on size and shape. I will leave a default length of 1.5" of your knife standing out of the sheath, unless otherwise requested. Please view the carry styles below to verify what you're looking for. Fill out the inquiry at the end of the page and I will respond with-in 1-2 business days.
