A Mid-Tech Knife is a knife that has been made using off the shelf parts and fabrication operations for the final results.  In short, it is a knife that I have had a role in building.  At this stage in my journey I often will reach out to knife makers, or large distributers to find knife blanks in need of hafting (building of the handle).  

Once I receive the knife blank, I often look at it to see how it can be improved, or modified.  This may include acid etching, stone washing, re-profiling, re-grinding, etc to make the knife stand out from others.  I have a limited amount of handle material available, though I'm able to find, or make just about anything your are looking for.  Handle materials include wood, G-10, Micarta, and house poured resin designs.
